Job Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Customer Service Representative and play a pivotal role in providing outstanding support to union members. You'll handle inquiries related to contracts, employment rights, and benefits, ensuring members receive timely and accurate assistance. This role is crucial in facilitating union members' access to essential services and supporting their engagement in civic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage over 40 inbound calls daily, addressing member concerns and queries with professionalism.
Efficiently process emails and document requests to ensure member needs are met promptly.
Assist members with enrollment processes, grievance procedures, and benefit inquiries.
Support educational and training course registrations for members.
Engage in various civic activities, contributing to community and member development.
Offer translation and interpretation services, enhancing communication and understanding.
Job Details:
Start Date: May 10, 2024
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Initial 5-week onsite training in downtown Seattle, followed by the opportunity to work 100% remotely.
Candidate Profile:
Fluency in Somali required; strong English communication skills essential.
Minimum of one year experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and maintain composure under pressure.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using computer and technical systems, capable of documenting and tracking inquiries effectively.
A history of stable employment is preferred.
