As a Warehouse Custodian, you'll be providing incredible service and supporting our Wegmans warehouse by quickly and efficiently responding to calls regarding spills, breaks, or other accidents, as well as maintaining the general upkeep of the facility. If you prefer to be behind the scenes and use a hands-on approach, this could be the role for you!
What will I do? Keep the facility in pristine condition, and answer questions as neededPromptly respond to all maintenance calls by attending to spills, breaks or other accidents as well as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.Complete all assigned tasks which include cleaning and restocking restrooms, vacuuming carpets, sweeping floors, emptying garbage cans, cleaning windows in the vestibule, cleaning office's, maintenance of conference rooms and other jobs to be determined by facility needsKeep an organized, well-stocked and simplified supply room and maintenance stations and ensure supplies are available to quickly answer maintenance callsProperly handle products, use of equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines, and Simplification 5S procedures Required Qualifications Customer Service experience Preferred Qualifications Custodial/janitorial experienceCustomer service experience, preferably in a grocery or retail settingExperience using forklift and pallet jacksAt Wegmans, we've long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
