Responsibilities
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessment and obtain informed consent for planned anesthetic intervention• Formulate patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in cooperation with attending MDA• Monitor patient's physiological condition as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and specific patient needs• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of pertinent information on patient's medical record• Assess anesthesia care to assure quality and positive patient outcomes• Aide in completion of departmental managerial duties• Perform capable airway management, including emergency response measures• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing• Continuously update anesthetic knowledge and skills, including age-specific indications• Ability to meet and maintain necessary background checks• Effective communication skills in English for written and verbal correspondence• Incorporate RMC policies within scope of practice• Foster a learning environment for customers, employees, and students• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations• Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota• Nurse anesthesia certification and current recertification• BLS and ACLS completion must be obtained• CALS highly recommended for all CRNA call positions
