Position Overview

The Creative Services Manager contributes to the success of Kehoe Designs through day-to-day management of Creative Services styling initiatives. This position manages the Design Studio, in-studio displays, floorplan styling initiatives and visual merchandising standards, and manages inventory and styling projects for event layouts and product presentations. This position functions independently and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. This position reports to and receives direction from the Creative Director.

Essential DutiesManages Creative Services (CS) staff. Responsible for delegating work, scheduling their daily workload and managing their hours according to project needs and budget requirements. Recruits, interviews, hires and trains department staff.Assists in developing pre-production mood-boards and style decks in collaboration with the sales team.Contributes to the creative process as a member of the CS team when needed.Monitors and tracks all team conceptual ideations requests to accurately propose budgets and financials bi-annually.Assists Creative Services team and Inventory Coordinator to develop in-studio visual presentations and guidelines for monthly design floor-sets and inventory re-sets throughout Kehoe Designs.Hosts monthly workshops for Kehoe team members on CS ideas and fun trend projects.Manages weekly CS meeting, create agendas and invite members for creative projects reviews.Monitors and manages the Creative Services Media and Display Specialist the influx of new inventory by collaborating with the Purchasing team to determine inventory arrivals. Supports and monitors the amount of visual collaboration versus work produced for a sales team member.Incorporates design expectations from various points of view (including Sales, Production and Creative departments) into visual styling concepts, and brings them to life in display presentations in the mock studio and/or event locations.Works effectively cross-departmentally with Creatives, Sales Producers/Designers, Inventory Coordinator, Product Designers, Production Managers and Marketing to manage company-wide merchandising projects.Partners with Production and Client Services teams to educate and train staff on inventory, pricing and collections. Creates collection packages, pricing sheets and cheat sheets to support training.Oversees and manages the Design Studio including: the influx and removal of product in the design studio as necessary. Collaborates with Inventory Coordinator and CS Media & Display Specialist on all necessary presentations and creates pullsheets within the design studio on an ongoing basis.Manages and contributes to styling events during event installations monthly.Assists Sales team and designers with accessory packages to promote inventory at pre-proposal.Manages CS to include:

Scheduling meetings.Managing, overseeing and/or tracking CS forms, files, folders and collateral.Overseeing and/or preparing sales and marketing collateral.Managing CS timelines to include: coordinating timelines, deadlines and schedules for Creative Services. meetings and subsequent design process leading up to client Samples and event execution.Create a budget for the team annually

Assists Samples and Sales with last minute changes and upgrades to Samples.May attend weekly Creative Services and Sales meetings to assist with meeting process and record information.Tracks and enters time and assigns hours and tasks to appropriate events and jobs in time and attendance system.Completes all Human Resources and Payroll tasks and notifications through the Employee Self Service Online Portal on a weekly basis, as directed and within established timelines.Complies with all department and company safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.Completes all safety training as directed and within established timelines.Establishes safety guidelines and expectations, and ensures that staff follows all company and departmental safety guidelines, procedures and rules.May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications1-3 years of event décor styling and/or retail display experience.Bachelor of Fine Arts or AAS Degree in Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design, Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising or a related degree.Demonstrates exceptional visual merchandising skills for event design.Excellent MS Office proficiency, particularly excel.Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to think critically and communicate complex thoughts and/or ideas in clear and concise manner.Demonstrates excellent, proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to provide creative solutions to opportunities as they present themselves.Ability to deal with individuals at all levels of the organization and clients of all levels.Ability to work cooperatively will all co-workers, vendors and clients.Excellent attention to detail and good follow-up skills.Knowledge of event software a plus.Solid math skills; ability to make simple calculations.

Physical and Work Environment RequirementsAbility to use a computer 50% the work day.Ability to sit up to 50% of the work day.Ability to walk 50% of the work day.Required to move throughout the buildings during the work day.Ability to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel and crouch to set up merchandise displays.Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30-40 lbs. unaided, when needed.Must be able to handle fragile items safely.Must be able to tolerate moderate noise.Must be able to tolerate varied temperatures and humidity.Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
