Cost Accountant

Position Overview: The Cost Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial data is collected and analysed to help the leadership team make informed decisions. They will work with the accounting team to ensure that all financial records are up to date, accurate, and compliant with GAAP principles.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data related to both manufacturing and general accounting operations Maintain accurate product costs and inventory levels with reporting tools Work with the accounting team to provide timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles Analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends and opportunities Monitor and analyse changes in product costing, and suggest options for cost reduction Responsible for development and maintenance of cost accounting systems which includes: (1) bills of materials and routings input, review, and verification (2) provision of cost estimates/analyses for potential new products and changes to existing products (3) variance analyses. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of relevant experience Background in manufacturing  Skilled in standard and job costing accounting processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Benefits Salary: $75k - $100k
