The successful candidate will implement and manage company-wide safety policies and systems throughout the Cortez District. Provide direct oversight, leadership, and mentorship Ensure the implementation and compliance of NGM programs Collaborate cross functionally across several departments and advise site leadership as needed Oversight and management of regulatory and legal compliance issues that may affect NGM programs and provide mentorship on S&H principles that support NGM values. Develop, maintain and be knowledgeable about business-based reporting requirements; statistical analysis on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis or as needed. Work with site S&H personnel to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their work to the highest standards. Ensure site investigations are of good quality, completed timely, and lead to actions that will minimize the event from reoccurring. Review high potential incidents and injuries, lead all aspects of investigations and collaborate with divisional leadership to determine root causes and corresponding actions Develop communication and implementation strategies, goals and objectives.
