Corporate Tax Accountant

Job summary
Responsible for corporate tax return coordination, select insourcing opportunities, and home office accounting.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Coordinating and submitting work papers, allocations, and corporate income tax information requests (federal, state, and/or international).• Researching and understanding potential impact of tax legislation changes.• Collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information for tax reporting.• Participating in streamlining and improving income tax reporting processes through automation and potential insourcing opportunities.• Assisting with cross-functional tax department and home office projects.• Conducting tax liability forecasting, communication, and payment facilitation.• Managing home office accounting for ownership level entities.• Assisting VP Finance with home office reporting packet.
Requirements
• High level of confidentiality.• Proficiency with one or more accounting systems (QuickBooks desired).• Intermediate GL accounting required.• Advanced-level Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary in order to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.• Ability to collaborate with team members.• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.• Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.• Proven analytical problem solver.• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
