ATTENTION: The department of Academic Advising and Exploration Center at the University ofWisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Coordinator of Academic Standards & Programming (Retention Specialist, AE107).
JOBDETAILS: This position coordinates the programming for reinstated and students on probation; serves asthe Chair of the Academic Standards Committee, administers the duties and functions related to Academic Standards; assists with themanagement of students participating in the Early College Credit Program; and coordinates the administrative aspects of advising duringSOAR. The Coordinator serves as a liaison to campus offices/departments and performs other duties as assigned.  
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree required (by the start date). Four years of academic advising orsimilar experience in a higher education setting (professional advising preferred). Experiencedeveloping and administering support programming for students. Progression of experiences, duties, andresponsibilities on a college campus. Commitment to a student-centered approach. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of PeopleSoft orsimilar Student Information System highly preferred. Knowledge of EAB Navigate highlypreferred. Demonstration of excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonalskills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnicbackgrounds. Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rulesand regulations including necessary training and drills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Office of Reinstated and Probationary Students  Developprogramming to promote the success of probationary students. Serve as a campus resource for studentshaving academic difficulty. Collaborate with campus partners and coordinate efforts to facilitatestudent success. Utilize data analytics to evaluate services, create programming, and to educate thecampus community. Coordinate programming and success initiatives with campuspartners. Academic Standards Serve asthe Chair of the Academic Standards Committee.  Update and maintain the Academic Standardswebsite. Serve as a resource for university standards to the campus community. Coordinate the appeal processes (including notification, review, and record keeping). Update student records in regard to academic standing. AdditionalProgramming  Assist in coordinating the Early College Credit advising and orientationprocess. Assign AAEC staff responsibilities for SOAR programs. Assist in assigning advising loads post-SOAR programs. Pull reports required forsuccessful advising by AAEC staff. Miscellaneous Serve on University committees as appropriate. Provide mentorship and training toAAEC staff. Be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations includingnecessary training and drills. Perform other duties as assigned.
