For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. Position Summary: The Cook is responsible for preparing patient cafeteria and catered event meals while following procedures and standards set forth by the department and regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications: 3 years recent work experience in a healthcare environment (education in Nutritional coursework or restaurant experience as a cook may be accepted in lieu of experience) High school graduate or equivalent Knowledge of therapeutic diets food cooking techniques Strong customer service skills Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree or Bachelors degree in related field Serve Safe Certification and/or culinary certificate
