Responsibilities
• Perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance of control/networking systems• Advise on and recommend plant equipment and controls needs• Provide oversight of external controls vendors• Design, code, test, and debug programs• Provide HMI development for plant operators• Drive standards for reliability of control systems• Adhere to standard operating procedures• Manage controls network communications• Maintain necessary controls systems spare parts• Communicate with plant management and provide support
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or related controls/automation technical degree with equivalent work experience• Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in a food processing plant• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Logix programming• Experience with various HMI development tools• In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, control system design, and troubleshooting methodologies• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
