Here's what you'd do: As the Controller, you will oversee the company's finance and accounting functions, including month-end close, WIP reporting, and financial reporting. Oversaw accounting team procedures and controls to ensure adherence to regulations and organization guidelines. This role will be to manage and develop the accounting team. Manage the month-end close process, which includes WIP analysis and reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and general ledger maintenance. Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting, including weekly forecasts and monthly management reporting. Perform analytical reviews and P&L analysis to provide meaningful insights into operating performance. Ensure timely preparation and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis according to standard closing process. Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting team. Backup for Sales Tax preparation/filing (multi-states). Ensure proper revenue recognition is calculated through WIP reporting. Prepare a reporting package consisting of a trial balance, financial statements, supplemental schedules, and a reconciled WIP report for controller review. Prepare and complete the annual financial statement audit for internal and external audit teams. Manage quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting process as directed. Ensure all accounting and financial activities follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures. Collaborate with others in accounting and finance to support department goals and objectives. Record several journal entries - accruing, reversing, reclassing, and adjusting. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Minimum of 10 years experience in CPA and Construction/solar industry Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting Minimum of 5 years experience in Controller.
