With these and other investments comes the need to add highly skilled and experienced employees to all our business units and teams throughout the US.We are actively searching for aPlant Controllerto join our team inClarksville, TN. The Plant Controller is the finance and accounting leader for the location. The position functions as part of the site leadership team and is responsible for leading the finance and accounting functions for the facility, and will manage future team members of finance and accounting professionals. The Controller will  manage all financial controls and accounting activities of the plant, monitors plant operations results against annual operating plans and forecast, and prepares or directs the preparation of reports used to monitor and measure performance. He/She leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process, recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, and works to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.Qualified candidates will have experience working in a large, manufacturing plant and will have lead the accounting department. This position is based full time in Clarkesville, TNand is not a remote role.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees and manages the preparation and presentation of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual financial information for management and outside parties. This may include leading one or more period end closing activities.Ensures controls are in place, general ledger accounts are reconciled on a periodic basis and that overall data and system integrity as it relates to financial data is in compliance with GAAP and Company policies.Manages and ensures general accounting functions are performed properly.Prepares and monitors financial forecasts, budgets, expenditures; coordinates variance data and allocations and performs cost estimating projects.Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process.Works with functional managers throughout the company to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and offer recommendations for improvement. Coordinates review of inventory balances and inventory monitoring programs.Manages local financial reporting systems and the compilation and analysis of management reports and statistical statements.Manages internal and external financial statement audit requirements.Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget.Support and implement HQ Finance / Accounting initiativesPerforms other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration requiredCPA or CMA certification preferredStrong analytical skills and knowledge of analysis techniques that assist in report preparation for decision-making purposesThorough understanding of general accounting functions as well as cost accounting and standard cost settingFamiliarity with profit and loss analysis, standard operating and capital budgetingAdvanced organization skills necessary to manage multiple assignments and prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for interface and communicate with diverse groupsLeadership skills and the ability to be influentialStrong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems, MS Office Suite, and ERP / MRP systemsTen or more years of finance/accounting experience with a minimum of 5+years of experience working in a manufacturing plant requiredExperience working in a manufacturing environmentPrior people management experience preferredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
