Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD Power Distribution Control Assembly division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer. This role is based out of our El Paso, TX facility. Relocation within the United States is provided for this opportunity. The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do:This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is being formed from the ground up. This position is responsible to deploy Lean concepts to improve productivity, cost out, and reduce the costs of nonconformance.In this role you will:Lead Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.Lead or facilitate projects or events such as Rapid Improvement Events, VSM, Continuous Flow, Standardization 5S, Error Proofing, Eliminating Waste, TPM, Business Process Improvements, and Basic Problem Solving.Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for implementation of continuous improvement based upon lean assessment.Develop business cases and executive summaries for continuous improvement projects that support the priorities established by the Continuous Improvement Council. Drive implementation of Eaton's CI Leadership Management System (Continuous Improvement Framework).Assist in training and development of personnel by mentoring team members, team leads, and facilitators for projects. Additionally, maintain role as mentor to other Manufacturing members.Assemble, verify, and analyze the results from CI events, prepare reports and present findings.Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes and systems to obtain optimum cost and quality manufacturability.Contribute to plant cost out objectives, particularly through labor productivity improvements.Investigate and develop understanding of new technologies and processes to be able to assess these from a broad perspective in terms of the impact to the total business.Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to design, develop, justify and guide the installation of new engineering concepts, equipment, tooling, processes and systems through procedures so that optimum manufacturing cost can be achieved and maintained.Participate in and exert leadership in local and divisional committees, teams, and councils that function to improve current technologies and business practices and develop a vision for future technologies and business strategy.Facilitate the Continuous Improvement Council to communicate implementation status, provide projects updates, and prioritize projects and resources.Coordinate OPEX related self-assessmentsQualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCandidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.Analytical and critical thinking – necessary for identification of issues and potential troubleshootingBi-lingual ion English and SpanishPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in engineering or MBA preferredExcellent knowledge of engineering problem solving and quality techniques as well as sound understanding of production, inventory, financial principles.Excellent working knowledge of lean manufacturing and JITTrained and certified in ELSS and CIFLean/Six Sigma CertificationDemonstrated project management experience.Skills:Additional Information:Candidate must be able to travel outside of the continental United States including, but not limited to, the Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Canada#LI-EE1We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
