The Opportunity:
Join us in an exciting role where you'll contribute to the growth and enhancement of our email newsletters. This position offers a unique chance to oversee and expand our flagship newsletter, The Futurist—a curated digest featuring inspiring news stories in science, technology, and alternative pop culture. With a subscriber base exceeding 850k, you'll be instrumental in managing content creation, delivery, subscriber engagement, and overall performance. Additionally, you'll support various revenue streams, including EDU marketing emails, SMS campaigns, and webpush initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Newsletter Management: Take ownership of The Futurist newsletter's performance, growth, and monetization, along with potential additional newsletters.
Content Creation: Lead content strategy and execution for the newsletter, crafting compelling and relevant commerce-focused content to captivate readers.
Affiliate Marketing: Manage the content calendar, curating daily paid content while ensuring brand consistency, optimizing engagement, and meeting strategic objectives for diverse advertisers.
Revenue Generation: Identify and develop new revenue streams within the newsletter program.
Subscriber Growth: Implement strategic initiatives to expand The Futurist's subscriber base, including partner sweepstakes and referral programs.
Data Analysis: Utilize A/B testing and analytics to drive continuous improvement, monitor campaign performance, and achieve revenue targets.
Quality Assurance: Ensure emails are accurately formatted, grammatically correct, and delivered punctually.
Compliance & Best Practices: Stay abreast of email marketing regulations, ensuring campaign compliance and adherence to industry standards.
Additional Support: Assist in managing other channels such as EDU newsletters, SMS, and webpush campaigns.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in email marketing, preferably in the e-commerce sector.
Proficiency in email compliance, segmentation, deliverability, and best practices.
Demonstrated success in creating impactful consumer content.
A proactive mindset with innovative ideas for revenue generation and subscriber acquisition.
Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional project management abilities and performance analysis.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Adaptability to the fast-paced nature of startup culture.

Compensation:
Our comprehensive compensation package includes base pay, bonuses or commissions, and various benefits. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000, with potential adjustments based on market conditions and individual qualifications.
