Content Manager (automotive)

The Content Manager position is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive technical content strategy aligned with the needs and preferences of automotive enthusiasts
Plan and organize the creation and distribution of technical content, including repair guides, step-by-step tutorials, troubleshooting tips, and how-to videos
Develop a content roadmap that outlines topics, formats, and publishing schedules
Identify target audience segments and create content plans that cater to users with varying skill levels, vehicles, motivations, and usage
Lead content brainstorming sessions with subject matter experts and creative teams to generate innovative and valuable content ideas for target segments
Stay up-to-date with automotive trends, technologies, and best practices to drive content innovation
Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to technical specifications with production sources
Establish content governance guidelines, voice, tone, and style to ensure technical content is consistent and user-friendly
Collaborate with writers, designers, video producers, and other stakeholders to create visually appealing and instructional technical content
Coordinate content production schedules and ensure timely delivery of content assets from production sources
Measure the performance of technical content, including user engagement, feedback, and effectiveness in guiding users through automotive tasks
Support strategies to promote DIY content through search engine optimisation (SEO), PR, social media, email marketing, and automotive communities
Requirements:
Track record in automotive content production across a number of channels (social media, brand, product etc.)
Experience in Technical Writing and/or Content Marketing and Development
Bachelor's degree ideal, Master's degree is a plus
Expertise in vehicle systems, mechanics, and repair processes
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and analytics platforms to increase content awareness/consumption
Strong DIY-first mindset with the ability to express the perspective of the end-consumer
Go-getter and proactive personality
