About Craftsmen Industries Craftsmen Industries custom manufactures unique specialty trailers and vehicles and large format printed elements for experiential marketing and industrial solutions for brands across the industry spectrum including Boeing, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch. We pride ourselves on creating our products fully in-house from initial design and engineering to fabrication and the finishing touches of graphics and paint.
Our Craftsmen team includes one subsidiary, Schantz Manufacturing. Schantz focuses on custom manufacturing of concession trailers for the fair and festival industry.

A Construction Worker will utilize mechanical skills to assist in the manufacture and build of a variety of unique products such as custom designed displays, trailers, and vehicles to meet project specifications and established timelines. Strong focus on workplace safety and product quality is essential to be successful in this role.
Primary Responsibilities: Works under moderate supervision to meet project and customer specifications, quality, and established project timelines. Follows verbal instruction and completes assigned tasks given by Team Leads and/or other departmental supervision. Reads blueprints or written instructions then prepare construction materials to build structures. Communicates suggestions, solutions, and other ideas on workplace efficiencies to Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineers, and Peers, as necessary. Unload and carry materials to construction sites. Maintains a tidy work environment with focus on workplace safety. Cleans up debris and other discarded material from construction site. Assist coworkers with assigned work duties, when needed. Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 - 4 years of experience in mechanical trade, maintenance, carpentry, and/or construction. Must be able to display mechanical aptitude and use basic hand tools such as a tape measure, level, drill, etc... Knowledge of basic construction principles and methods. Ensure compliance with a safety mindset. Ability to work successfully within a team and as an individual contributor. Must effectively communicate and present interpretations of work. Must be able to use and maintain workplace equipment. Displays initiative learn and to take on more responsibilities. Willingness to provide instruction to other employees. Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and team members. Desirable Skills: Trade school or work-related experience. Certificate in the field of Welding, Fabrication, Carpentry, Autobody Repair, HVAC or Electrical. Class A license. Experience with hydraulics, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary standing position for up to 8 hours a day. Ability to ascend/descend ladder and climb in and out of trailers as well as work atop scaffolding. Physically able to move and transport up to 75 pounds. Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands. Very occasional travel (0-5%) may be required for on-site assistance/repair.
