Construction Worker

Our growing company is looking for a hard-working and skilled construction worker. Under our construction manager's direction, you will work alongside a team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, and apply your knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment to keep the project on track. You must have previous job-site experience, Basic knowledge in construction is required and must be able to use common hand tools and run small equipment; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; and perform heavy lifting, moving, digging or other manual work typical of the class. have a great work ethic and physical stamina. If this sounds like you, apply now!Responsibilities:Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc.Tear down old structures, and build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction siteRun hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as requiredProperly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean and meet safety regulations and OSHA requirementsComply with all instructions given by the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accuratelySupport craft workers (painters, electricians, carpenters, roofers, plasterers), sub-contractors, and other tradesmen as neededQualifications:Equivalent, GED, or high school diploma is required - Associate's degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferredPast construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are requiredThis position relies on physical strength and staminaAble to work in inclement weather like extreme temperatures, rain, etc.Strong depth perception, good eye-hand coordination, and mechanical skills are helpfulAbout Company:Since 2015 we have been building the grand strand and surrounding areas.
