Description
The ANS Construction Manager leads and manages a team of employees and/or subcontractors for direct construction activities. Employee is expected to coordinate efforts of all employees to complete specific work tasks related to their projects. The Construction Manager's main role is to ensure timely construction and high quality, communicate effectively from the field and with onsite stakeholders, meet customer expectations, and manage all aspects of the job in line with the outlined goals.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and efficient/safe execution of project installations.
Responsible for the overall quality and safety of all installation resources (including subcontractors) at the jobsites.
Responsible for Walk-Throughs with subcontractors to ensure the build meets the specifications and drawings.
Ensures that all company safety procedures are enforced to include proper use of safety equipment, and the conducting of onsite safety training as needed.
Responsible for pre-planning material and manpower requirements.
Responsible for identifying and resolving any missing, defective, or incorrect items sent to the jobsite as soon as possible, and sending the information to Project Manager to address.
Responsible for maintaining all tools and equipment normally assigned to this function.
Responsible for reviewing with the Account Manager the job package and all other information available and keeping the Account Manager informed of the status of the work and all changes.
Assist the Account Manager with building customer and subcontractor relationships.
Assist the Engineering Team and Project Manager with accuracy of the scope/quote of the project, any scope changes, and any final true-up to the customer.
Responsible for assembling all site-specific closeout documentation.
Prioritize work to maximize time efficiency.
Responsible for preparing and submitting daily work reports as required (includes work status, weather, personnel, etc.) daily. Sending updates to Account Manager.
Responsible for the accuracy of time and expense reports submitted by the crews.
The onsite company representative and will conduct themselves professionally.
Handles emergency needs from field for site issues.
Participate in progress reviews for personnel on the crews.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience with DAS deployment
PIM and Sweep Testing
Valid Driver's License with good driving record.
High School Diploma or GED.
5 Years of experience leading and managing wireless construction.
OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid Training Certificates
Must successfully complete pre-hire drug screen and background check
Preferred Skills & Additional Certifications
OTDR
Fiber Splicing
Basic understanding of RF
Work Environment & Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in all types of weather.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position. Days and hours of work are dictated by the needs of the project. Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, hours may vary depending on needs. Weekends could be required at times. An appropriate level of communication about expected hours of work between the employee and supervisor will be agreed to as part of the discussion process and will be more formal during the trial period.
Travel
Ability to travel 100% to customer sites for installation, upgrades, and implementations. Travel could include ANS's current markets, as well as outside of market as needed to perform work. Travel could require staying on the road for multiple weeks at a time.
