Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
Work will consist of construction inspection, materials testing, and administration of WisDOT and local projects
Successful candidate will be based out of the Stevens Point office and may need to travel during the day or overnight for projects in the North Central Region. They will need to work independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT and local construction projects on time and within budgets
Qualifications Minimum Requirements :
Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology Program or similar degree Must have completed one year of study Valid Driver's License required Preferred Qualifications : The following skill sets are desirable but not required
GPS and Survey equipment knowledge
Familiarity with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Familiarity with municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects.
Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications and material certification requirements
WisDOT material certifications including AGGTECH, PCCTECH, Nuclear Density
