What You'll Do: The Construction Intern will split time between job sites and the office. 65% of your time will be on local job sites to experience different construction phases. 35% of your time will be in the office working with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to help with preconstruction, bidding, & project management. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  Regularly review plans, drawings, and specifications, actively participating on the job site to inspect the work and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications to achieve the highest level of quality. Assist with preconstruction activities such as, preparing estimates and schedules for a project.Gain a broad understanding of a project:  its budget, schedule, deliverables, and stakeholders' management from a Project Management perspective. Develop and update project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving schedule issues.Document management to include preparing meeting minutes, maintaining and updating logs, and preparing progress reports/status reports (daily, weekly, and summary reports for work completed).Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.Century intends to offer the selected candidate with a base pay of $21.00
