As a Construction Administrator, candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects under the guidance of experienced engineers on structural steel connection projects. They will assist in the review of structural steel shop drawings and the organization and development of RFIs in conjunction with the Apex connection designer. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possesses creative thinking skills, and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.
Success in this role requires an investigative mindset, accuracy, and excellent communication skills. Candidates should have a keen interest in ensuring the safety and structural integrity of buildings and other large structures, along with a familiarity with structural steel and standards for connection design.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include reviewing structural steel shop drawings with delegated steel connection design drawings. Organizing and creating RFIs in conjunction with the Apex connection designer. Typical projects would consist of steel connection design, miscellaneous steel design, and erection engineering. Utilize software programs such as BlueBeam and Trimble Connect. Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews. Qualifications: 10+ years of structural steel detailing experience. An advanced understanding of structural steel and the AISC Design Manual. Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills. Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written. Software skills with any of the following are a plus: BlueBeam and Trimble Connect. Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines. Passion for steel design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction. Requirements: Diploma/Certificate.
