Configuration Management Specialist

Configuration Management Specialist (Junior) Personnel Qualifications: At least five (5) years of experience as a Configuration Manager. At least five (5) years of experience and knowledge based on, but not limited, to one or more of the following skills: creation of configuration management identification, status accounting, creation of configuration change boards and auditing. Experience with ITIL configuration management preferred. Capabilities Supports configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Supports configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control. Supports the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software. Supports the software quality assurance process audits. Understand the five elements of Configuration Management and have implemented a Configuration Management system. Can work independently and in a team environment
