In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities: The Compression Foreman will supervise field employees in the compliance, operations and maintenance of natural gas engines, compressors, and related equipment. This role will report to the Compression Manager. Special focus to be placed on:Leads by example, follows all policies and procedures, promptly reports incidents, use all resources to drive improvement in performance. Observes subordinates and ensures compliance. Supervises field employees in the compliance, operations and maintenance of natural gas engines, compressors, and related equipment. Communicates job expectations, enforces company standards based on performance observations. Ensures new hires are properly oriented, trained and qualified to perform assigned tasks.Manages the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas compressors, gas fired engines, glycol dehydration system, flares, air compressors, generators, and other auxiliary equipment.Ensures assets and associated maintenance schedules are established to maximize equipment run time and capabilities while maintaining efficiencies in manpower.Identifies maintenance activities that can be aligned with unplanned outages or curtailments. Participates in district curtailment planning activities.Manages projects that may include equipment upgrades or component replacements, valve, or piping modifications, at compressor facilities.Ensures compliance work orders are completed by established due dates, maintains documentation and reports.Achieves operating and maintenance goals by monitoring process variables and metrics, establishing effective communication protocols with personnel and resources, prioritizing activities and tasks, developing, and maintaining work schedules, and monitoring team efforts to ensure performance expectations are met.Manages department budget and provides information needed to complete monthly forecasting. Participates in the development of annual business plan.Identifies opportunities for capital investments that improve safety, compliance, operating efficiencies, increase volumes, save O/M expenses, etc. Provides information for monthly forecast for projects as appropriate.Responds to and manages emergency situations. Provides guidance and direction as needed. Communicates as appropriate. Ensures direct reports are aware of their roles and responsibilities.Working with internal and external resources, participates in investigations and root cause analyses as appropriate to determine the cause of safety, environmental, compliance or operational issues. Participates in the development and implementation of corrective actions.Monitor daily performance and ensure assets are operating at peak throughput and efficiency given current conditions.Works effectively with State and Federal Agencies.Coordinate general housekeeping to all assigned compressor stations.
Qualifications:POSITION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalent, required.Technical or Associates degree preferred. Will consider equivalent experience.At least 3 years mechanical / maintenance or similar experience.3 years of experience in a leadership role directing field employees.An equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong communication and project management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of special tools, equipment or machinery including diagnostic equipment and software, etc.Actively participates in the gathering, analyzing, and trending of data, and contributes to the discussions to determine if problems or opportunities exist.Organized, self-motivated and works effectively and consistently with minimal supervision.Ability to understand and adhere to departmental budgets. Participates in forecasting and planning exercises. Identifies opportunities and ideas regarding cost savings.Ability to interpret schematics, piping & instrument drawings (P&IDs), flow charts and cause and effect diagrams.Proficient in troubleshooting and possession of analytical problem-solving skills to diagnosis and resolve complex technical matters.Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and other multiple equipment interface and software packages.Ability to work safely in challenging environments, including, and not limited to high temperature, noise, dust, and other industrial / oilfield locations.Ability to execute job functions efficiently with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritize activities to meet company needs.Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Ideal candidate will be able to provide expertise for company management, engineering, and operations staff.Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.Must be a self-starter with a high drive for results.Must have good time management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at same time.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Physical requirements include, but may not be limited to, walk up and down stairs/ladders, negotiate uneven surfaces, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurer.On call rotation requiredPreferred ExperienceThree years of experience in the natural gas industry, experience with compression, gas driven engines, and PLC's.Two-year degree in technical or business-related field.Equivalent combination of education and experience
