Department Overview
The team of Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response. The Data Response Unit (DRU) team is a strategic and forward-looking team that delivers quality data responses and provides insights that enable the business to grow and improve.The DRU ensures internal and external requests are managed and delivered with appropriate, accurate, consistent, and timely information.
Position Summary
Compliance & Risk Consultant, Expert will support the development of timely, accurate, and complete data responses for Electric Operations-related requests. The incumbent is responsible for the researching, planning, development, monitoring, and direction of data responses, as well as providing analytical and technical expertise to support data requests, regulatory proceedings, and litigation. The Compliance & Risk Consultant will work with subject matter experts to compile data responses and supporting evidence, verify and validate the evidence, and coordinate reviews with responsible directors/approvers to ensure delivery accurate responses to internal and external stakeholders. This position will develop schedules, milestones and deliverables, manage issues, and lead development of key data responses.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The a ssigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $118,000
Bay Area Maximum: $188,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $112,000
California Maximum: $179,000
Job Responsibilities
Support the development and delivery of high-quality data responses of moderate to high complexity
Work with subject matter experts on the development of data responses, which include but are not limited to communications materials, legal investigations, CPUC data requests, regulatory proceedings, and media requests.
Validate supporting evidence provided by subject matter experts to ensure responses are based on verifiable evidence.
Provide insight into implications and make recommendations of possible courses of action.
Communicate effectively on response status and strategy with company management, key stakeholders, and reviewers throughout the development process.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Job-related experience, 7 years
Desired:
Proficient experience in research, writing, editing, and analyzing information.
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, economics, engineering, political science, or a related discipline with a strong analytical component.
Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to apply project management theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques.
Knowledge of regulatory and litigation processes.
Competency in making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems in a deadline-driven environment.
Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Experience in communication, analysis, project management, and regulatory matters.
Experience with the management and/or administration of regulatory and customer service issues.
Strong organizational and relationship building skills with emphasis on influence leading and conflict management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including oral presentation and public speaking skills.
