Job summary
We are looking for a Flood Mitigation Analyst (CRS Specialist) to cover the Hartford, CT area.The primary responsibilities involve visiting communities to collect flood information, preparing reports, and representing Verisk at meetings.If you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in the field, then this position is for you.

Responsibilities
• Visit communities to collect flood information• Prepare reports in accordance with established standards• Represent Verisk at meetings involving community officials• Advise people about flood hazards and how to reduce flood damage• Increase protections for new development with various programs• Reduce the flood risk to existing development• Implement flood warnings and dam safety programs
Requirements
• Experience with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and floodplain management• College degree in business, engineering, or similar discipline preferred• Strong customer service, math, and verbal/written communication skills required• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows required• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification desirable• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic
