Your Role: As the Community Impact Program Manage r, you will help to facilitate connections between community stakeholders and Port projects and priorities to drive positive impact to communities. In this role, you will ensure the Port is a valuable public partner with a positive organizational reputation as well as serve as an implementer, trainer, convener, and subject matter expert within the Port for community engagement

Essential Job Duties Community Engagement. Manage, implement, and scale the Port's equitable engagement program known as Community Impact. Lead select projects in service to shared prosperity goals and objectives that drive positive community impact. Analyze community feedback from interest groups, particularly communities who have historically been excluded including Black, Indigenous, persons of color, immigrants, refugees, youthnand people living with disabilities through community engagement events, reports, and other relevant data sources. Serve as a convener for the Port's priority stakeholders to elevate key initiatives, programs, and community needs. P lans, Tools, and Frameworks. Lead the development and implementation of the Port's community engagement strategy which will include minimum engagement standards, a toolkit, and the Port's multi-year plan for inclusive engagement. Convene staff from across the organization to inform the development and implementation of the Port's multi-year plan for more inclusive engagement. Lead the development of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the Port's activities on priority communities and projects. Consultation and Subject Matter Expertise. Serve as an internal consultant and subject matter expert to Port employees on community impact topics. Prepare talking points, communication strategies and plans that align to shared prosperity objectives. Support the development of the Port's Tribal Relations strategy and engagement with urban Indigenous populations. Minimum Qualifications Degree
Subjects

Bachelor's
Ethnic studies, communications, collaborative governance, community development, social science, public policy, government affairs, social work, sociology, anthropology, or related discipline.

6-8
Progressive professional experience in government and/or community affairs specifically engaging with traditionally under-represented populations.
Experience developing administrative policies, protocols and DEI or community engagement frameworks a plus.




Demonstrated knowledge: Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging principles and practices. Language access, targeted communications, and other accessibility considerations Best practices and emerging strategies in developing creative engagement strategies Understanding of how to establish and scale community investment programs and strategies including sponsorship programs, grants, and public/private philanthropic partnerships. Best practices managing and measuring impact of advisory bodies, coalitions and/or committees. Demonstrated Skills: Strategic communication planning, skilled in risk communication and writing/editing/ conceptualizing compelling copy; demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills. Skill working with a diverse and wide array of culturally specific organizations, small businesses, consultants, schools, and faith-based institutions Ability to demonstrate cultural humility with a diverse team and stakeholders and applying DEIB principles to interactions. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research strategies and reporting including results-based accountability Supplemental and Selection Information SELECTION PROCESS (tentative schedule) : A minimum qualification evaluation of education, training, and experience of submitted application packets will take place by Human Resources the week of April 1, 2024. A Subject Matter Expert (SME) Panel will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials including any responses to the supplemental questionnaire.
