Job Summary
The Research Community Engagement Specialist assists with developing and maintaining relationships with research participants, organizations, government agencies, research collaborators, healthcare providers and community leadership by developing and implementing effective communication and collaboration strategies.
This position will support in the creation, coordination, and promotion of research initiatives and/or projects with diverse audiences of participants, community members and stakeholders, including but not limited to, Community Action Board (CAB) meetings, mobile unit activities in Avera footprint communities, and events for indigenous, diverse, or multicultural communities.
The Research Community Engagement Specialist must possess strong written and verbal communication to effectively share information to diverse audiences. This position requires strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in human services, marketing, social work, communications, public policy or related field required.
Work Schedule
Primarily works day shifts Monday – Friday; some evening and weekend involvement possible.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required due to community planning and events.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$20.50 - $25.75 per hour
