Title: Communications Specialist - 106695 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Communications Specialist for John Deere Harvester Works, located in East Moline, IL, you will use various communication media to share business-related information with appropriate audiences (internal and/or external); work to ensure that employees are aware of, understand, and know the impact of the information. In addition, you will:
Adapt communications for internal employee and virtual audiences by developing and producing short videos Create visually engaging graphics for both physical and digital signage Research, write, and edit communication materials for use in various media to support the overall communication strategies of the Business Plan, edit, and manage publications or other communication products at the Business Unit or Division level Provide communications support to departments, groups, and managers to assist in identifying communication needs and messages, and to develop appropriate communication plans VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position What Skills You Need Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) Proven ability to create, edit, and assemble communications and recorded footage into a finished project that matches vision and is suitable for broadcasting Knowledge of layout/design for both print publications and online Understanding of photography and photo editing Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions Proven ability to creatively concept, ensuring all messaging aligns with the values of the business, capable of being both proactive and reactive to the situation at hand What Makes You Stand Out Knowledge of the communication planning process and measurement techniques Experience with photo and video editing software Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to find stories and turn them into short articles, including journalistic interviewing skills Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence without authority, manage projects, and build trust quickly Previous experience in a communication related role Previous UX design experience Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
