About the Role Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time Collections Representative II to work out of our East Bremerton, WA location. The Collections Representative II will identify delinquent accounts and establish an effective means of communication with members, attorneys and internal staff. Handle exception accounts, escalated situations and support collection staff acting as a liaison between collectors and supervisor.

Employment Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt, in-person/hybrid
Salary Range: $25.90 - $38.84/hr depending on experience
Bonus Target: 5% potential incentive of base pay
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 1pm, 8.5hr shifts, 40hr work week

What you will do Work independently and as a team member with ownership of collection queues, managing high call volumes. Maintain a high level of confidentiality within the accounts control function and administrative offices relative to any information received directly or indirectly at all times. Take on ownership and responsibility of more complicated accounts and escalations. Work with attorneys to report on legal cases and communicate progress with other collectors. Negotiate pay offs, settlements, and conduct analysis on Troubled Debt Restructured (TDR) loans according to Kitsap Credit Union guidelines using decision making authority. Review and analyze all loan workout requests from the membership and make appropriate recommendations to Accounts Control Supervisor. Coordinate with all levels of management helping guide the underwriting process based upon past collection activity. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Three plus years of progressive collections experience including post charge off, high risk, deficiency balances, and real estate collections. Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal regulations including the Washington State Foreclosure Fairness Act, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to handle heavy workload with time constraints and deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication with negotiation skills.
