Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Decatur, AL, 35601
Pay Rate: $20 to $24 hourly on W2
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Job Description: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Decatur, AL, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily activities while promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed, ensuring their dignity and privacy are respected at all times.
Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
Medication Assistance: Support licensed nursing staff by reminding residents to take medications and assisting with medication administration under their supervision.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Record and report residents' vital signs accurately, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents' care activities, observations, and any changes in their condition.
Meal Assistance: Assist residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities to promote their social well-being.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and therapists, to ensure holistic care for residents.
Qualifications: Certification: Must hold a valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of AL.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
Compassion: Genuine empathy and compassion for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
