What you'll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION:Eaton AER ITD division is currently seeking a CMM technician on 1st shift to join our team. It's where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain, troubleshoot, and validate CMM equipment for the Receiving Inspection and Machine Shop areas.• Identify and recommend appropriate gaging technology for specific features and tolerances.• Write and execute CMM programs, design and order fixturing for part layouts, capability studies, and first/last piece inspections for current and new products.• Attend training sessions as necessary for software updates and improvements.• Assist Quality Engineers, Supervisor and Quality Manager in the continuous improvement of the CMM support service.• Support Measurement System Analysis activities such as Gage R&Rs.• Writing and editing CMM-related Procedures.• Recognize and recommend potential savings and process improvements.• Support company quality manual and AS9100 requirements in order to maintain compliance.• Maintain clean equipment and work area.Qualifications:SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:Basic Qualifications• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.• Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming experience with knowledge of, and experience with, GD&T and Hand Tools (caliper, micrometer, pin gages, etc.)• No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the Camarillo, CA facility will be considered.• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
