Job Description
The Cloud Software Engineer will be responsible for creating cloud-based microservices and libraries using Golang. This role will contribute to coding standards, practices, and architectural design while implementing cryptographic algorithms for signing and encryption. The individual will perform code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end testing, and guide internal documentation processes.
This is a pivotal role that will drive Toyota's vehicle security initiatives by developing robust and secure cloud solutions leveraging AWS infrastructure and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create Golang-based microservices and libraries for cloud security services. Implement cryptographic algorithms for code signing and encryption. Perform thorough code reviews adhering to best practices. Contribute to defining coding standards and architectural practices. Collaborate with various teams for comprehensive end-to-end testing. Design and develop secure APIs following REST and gRPC protocols. Deploy applications securely on AWS infrastructure and cloud services. Leverage container technologies for efficient application deployment. Provide guidance on CI/CD processes, artifact management, and code quality tools. Create and maintain comprehensive internal documentation. Required Experience/Skills
Minimum 4 years of programming experience with languages like C, C++, C#, Rust, Python, or Golang. Proven expertise in API design and implementation of security best practices. Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity management concepts. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, services, and securing applications. Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker. Ability to design, build, and operate distributed systems to solve complex problems. Expertise in secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities. In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as TLS, PKI, SAML/OAuth, key management, and hashing algorithms. Familiarity with CI/CD processes, artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory), and code quality tools like SonarQube. Strong communication skills for providing and receiving constructive feedback collaboratively. Education:
Bachelor's degree is required.
