Job Description
At CVS, our cloud computing allows us to modernize and automate workloads to pursue next-generation digital innovation. To continue our advances, we seek an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud engineer with knowledge of designing, developing, and implementing large-scale digital data platforms in the cloud. In addition, our ideal candidate will have experience designing fault-tolerant, cost-efficient, and highly scalable distributed systems on AWS. And will have extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, emerging technologies, and modern platforms to guide our cloud strategy forward.
Objectives of this Role
Work with engineering teams to design and implement a data platform using cloud-based solutions
Guide our data engineers in implementing well-architected AWS solutions for various technical requirements
Ensure our cloud-based systems security, performance, uptime, and scalability maintain the highest standards
Manage our cloud environments under our company guidelines and strict security standards
Daily Responsibilities
Participate in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, and quality
Collaborate with architecture and data engineering to design solutions leveraging AWS services to enable our data platform
Develop and implement infrastructure as code to deploy AWS solutions for large-scale data processing in the cloud
Give high-level attention to creating health checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to enhance data observability
Engage in solving issues, troubleshooting incidents, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize future problems
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,000
Maximum: 167,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing well-architected could-based solutions on AWS
Proven ability to document processes, architecture designs, deployment pipelines, development methods, and troubleshooting techniques

Preferred Qualifications
AWS certifications
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Bash
Experience in several areas: Big data processing, ETL, machine learning, advanced analytics, data mining, and database architecture
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics or equivalent.
