Responsibilities
• Develops and implements personal plan for professional development• Schedules training sessions for orientation and required staff training• Monitors staff completion of mandatory annual competencies• Assesses staff development needs and plans training programs• Maintains education files for monitoring and documenting training• Facilitates communication between employees and administration• Minimizes risk and ensures safety of patients and staff• Guides, motivates, and influences others• Makes decisions using sound judgment• Promotes creativity and challenges conventional practices• Stays current with new techniques in the field
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and nursing licensure• 3 years' experience in training, education, and staff development• Knowledge of psychiatric service delivery systems• Current knowledge of continuous quality improvement methodology• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations• Current CPR and CPI certifications• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
