Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with one of Florida's leading Healthcare systems and we are looking for a Clinical Lab Scientist to join the Microbiology team.
Position Information:
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Microbiology) is responsible for but not limited to the following:
Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems. Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and supplies. Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation. May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and computer systems. Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements:
1+ Years Clinical Laboratory experience in high complexity testing required.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology OR associate degree in medical laboratory technology required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
ASCP, AMT, or equivalent
Florida licensure in Microbiology
