We are hiring a P/T Clinical Counselor for our growing team! The Clinical Counselor is a vital component in the rehabilitation process. They are responsible for monitoring clients' safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts direct clinical services such as group, individual, and or family therapy with clients on the importance of continued absence from all mood-altering substances Participant in an interdisciplinary team Responsible for the construction of individualized treatment plans for all clients Meet a minimum requirement of twenty-six hours of direct client care. Maintain a respectful relationship with clients Always maintain confidentiality, displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff Complete all documentation by the end of the business day Meet all billing requirements Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics Maintain a valid driver's license The Clinical Counselor is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.'s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Key Experience and Education Needed:
Bachelor of Arts Degree Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred Licensed and/or Credentialed Counselor Experience delivering lectures on addiction and conducting group sessions. Substance abuse experience preferred. Appropriate State and Federal Clearances Other Qualifications to be Considered:
Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery-driven service system Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identity Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family Knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction Knowledge and competency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team building Knowledge of ASAM dimensions Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crises in a calm and supportive manner Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served ARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for life's needs, a 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.
