Job Summary: To provide client registration and lab services to those seeking the Opioid Treatment Program services at Great Circle Recovery. Provides Ensures the provision of health care services takes place in a professional, non-bias environment and is accomplished in an efficient and respectful manner. Essential Functions: Greets clients and ensures all clients check in for appointments using program kiosk and appropriate staff are contacted to escort them within the clinic. Provides support for clients needing assistance with kiosk. Answers phones and provides basic information to clients and other agencies seeking program services information. Assists with monitoring client adherence to COVID-19 protocols. Assists clients with child care room check-in process as needed. Accurately enters and updates client information into electronic health record management system. Verifies client's insurance/alternate resources coverage, eligibility for services, and primary care provider. Ensures all new client information is entered prior to client receiving services and obtains appropriate signatures. Monitors lobby and patient flow to identify client issues and contacts appropriate program staff for assistance as needed. Follows emergency protocol for emergent care clients. Completes reports and records for program tracking information as requested by management team. Determines and processes eligibility for services through the Grand Ronde Health and Wellness Center for Native American population. Ensures that Tribal affiliation meets Federal guidelines for services requirements. Requests and collects all necessary documentation from clients to determine eligibility for services available to Native Americans and pregnant women of Contract Health Services (CHS) eligible birth fathers, i.e. birth certificates, certificate of Indian blood, Tribal ID cards, and paternity statements. Provides general information regarding Tribal, State, Federal and Community services available. Conducts urinalysis testing on all OTP clients. Completes chain of custody and documentation for a lab specimens according to established protocols. Monitors urinalysis process for client diversion. Responsible for proper handling and packaging of collected samples. Gathers and transports lab specimens from Salem to Tribal onsite lab in Grand Ronde before the end of each business day as needed. Responsible for urinalysis supply inventory for the lab and coordinates with Lead LPN for ordering needed supplies. Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education, Experience, and Licenses: Requires a high school diploma or GED Requires a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an increasingly responsible position in a health care or treatment program setting; medical billing experience preferred. Must maintain a valid Oregon driver's license or obtain one upon hire, qualify for the Tribe's vehicle insurance, and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance. Qualifications, Registrations, and Certifications: Ability to use and work within an electronic health record management system. Proven ability to work independently and interpret policies and procedures, under pressure with little or no supervision. Understand addiction as a chronic illness and approaches all clients with dignity and respect. Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to work with all levels of individuals, including disgruntled people in an effective manner. Ability to demonstrate boundaries and concise clear communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral instructions. Demonstrated working knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel, and related programs. Ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e. copier, fax machine, personal computer). Must have excellent interpersonal skills oral and written. Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Knowledge of ethical and legal requirements and restrictions pertaining to the maintenance of medical records, as well as facility policies, HIPAA and other federal regulations. Requires strong commitment to accurately completing task, solving problems, demonstrating initiative, organization, and attention to detail. Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture required. Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements: Continually requires the ability to express or receive detailed information or important instructions through oral communication. Continually requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. Requires repetitive movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks. Requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time, raising objects from a lower to a higher position and/or moving objects horizontally. Occasionally requires lifting of up to 20 pounds. Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations. This position is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions. Supports a safe work environment by performing all duties in accordance with Tribal safety policies and procedures, and Emergency Management Plan. Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Background Check: Candidates for this position will be subject to criminal and character background checks and subject to fingerprinting.
