SCOPE:
As an IAA Supervisor, you play a critical role in overseeing and leading a team of Initial Action Claims Adjusters. This position requires a deep understanding of property and casualty insurance policies, a strong knowledge of claims handling procedures, and exceptional leadership skills. The IAA supervisor will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate claims processing, providing guidance and support to the team, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This position offers a  remote  work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate to work from their preferred location.
DUTIES : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Adjusters. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Set clear performance expectations and goals for the team. Review and assess complex or high-value claims to ensure accurate handling. Monitor claims processing workflow to ensure timely and efficient resolution. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Serve as a point of contact for escalated or sensitive customer inquiries. Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns. Foster a customer-centric approach within the team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct regular audits of claims files to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Prepare and present regular reports on team performance metrics, such as claims closure rates, customer satisfaction scores, and turnaround times. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for process improvement. Work closely with other departments, such as Underwriting and Risk Assessment, to provide insights and feedback on claims trends. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address complex or disputed claims. Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance standards. Ensure the team's practices align with state and federal insurance laws. Responsible for reviewing adjuster authority requests related to coverage, liability, payment, and closure. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.  Texas Adjusters license required.  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience, claims processing, or a related field is preferred. Proficient knowledge of property and casualty insurance policies and coverages. Strong understanding of claims processing procedures, including investigation, evaluation, and settlement negotiation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
