Job Function/Description:
Process carrier claim payments (AR) accurately on or before deadlines according to SDS America company policy. Collaborate with our Recovery Team to report claim approvals and pending payments. Review essential claim documentation to confirm payment accuracy (AP). Communicate with the logistics service providers to confirm check/payment details. Audit/Manage systematic contracts and tariffs in regards to process payments in the Cello system. Dispute invalid claim resolutions to overturn declination and negotiate claim settlements Investigate and diagnose potential errors preventing payment processing Work within company guidelines to analyze contractual agreements of the customer, shipper, consignee or carrier and then assess the physical damage reports and the cargo claims findings Escalate high-value declinations with management to discuss possible recourse Perform ad-hoc reporting or other job-related duties, as required.
Qualifications:
Required proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, basic reporting functions and formatting, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables 1+ years of freight claims processing experience preferred Experience in A/P or Invoicing/Billing preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Superior attention to detail, organization, cross-group collaboration, and project management skills
