DescriptionJob Summary:You are are Civil Engineer with experience on heavy civil projects. As the Project Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Project Manager and Superintendent to assist with daily management and support of operations. You will attend morning line out meetings, and be a part of daily reporting, safety inspections, client meetings, bidding of new projects, and general day-to-day mine engineering duties. You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.Come join our mining team in in Nevada, USA today!Essential Responsibilities:Perform general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, maintenance of files, logs, drawings, and specificationsSupport the (sub) contract management process through the tendering and awarding of work or supply materials, assistance with the review and processing of invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiriesManage the change order process by securing pricing from the vendor/subcontractor, reviewing, and inputting the data and submitting the change request to the owner/consultant for approvalFacilitate the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines; assistance with the creation of the project schedule; inputs and updates schedule throughout the project and reviews with Project Manager/SuperintendentFacilitate the review and distribution of drawings by following up with the trades/consultants; maintains the drawing log and drawing/sample transmittalsCoordinate the request for information (RFI) process, ensures RFIs are distributed to affected trades and maintains RFI logs and bindersQualifications:Must have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in miningMust have a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant coordinating experience.Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. JD Edwards experience would be an asset.
