Civil Engineer - Senior Level (Hybrid)

Job Description:Summary:The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary project teams primarily serving mining clients. This person will assist with civil engineering design and analysis related to site layout, grading and drainage, mass earthwork, etc.Key responsibilities may include:Preparing proposals and cost estimatesManaging civil projects from concept to constructionPreparing technical reportsProviding support through training/mentorship for other engineersThis position requires periodic, out of town assignmentsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering10 or more years of related work experienceProfessional engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one yearExperience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, and computer simulation modelingStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsWillingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative and cross-office collaborationProven project management experienceFlexible working style as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needsPossession of valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordLegal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in consulting engineeringStrong relationships with clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client serviceA hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position will be based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah, office.NOTE: Some work locations will feature the rough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment. Safety training will be provided prior to being given work assignments on these sites.
