Civil Engineer - Commercial Construction
Glendale, AZ Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, coordination, and direction of land surveying, civil engineering, and utility locating projects. The Civil Engineer will lead and oversee designated projects, striving to complete projects within agreed budgets and timelines. The Civil Engineer performs and/or coordinates all aspects of civil engineering projects, both in the field and in the office, including preparing technicians for field and office duties, and performing advanced level professional engineering work in design, construction, and maintenance Essential Duties :
Project Management, including oversight, direction and support of field and office work associated with Civil Design and Land Survey projects. Research, gather and supply essential documents and materials to direct the completion of field and/or office work. Delegate and supervise Civil and Survey techs on assigned tasks. Verify the work performed by assigned Technicians for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable engineering standards and specifications. Guide and direct technician staff to stay on course with project schedules and budgets by monitoring completion of assigned field and office tasks. Be available to troubleshoot and/or provide guidance to Civil and Survey Technicians when issues arise with assigned work. Qualification: Engineering Bachelor's Degree preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable RCE preferred. Principles and practices of applied civil engineering to estimates, studies, technical reports, design, plans, specifications, and professional recommendations for a variety of engineering activities. Land development, including planning and analysis of engineering systems needed for the use of land including streets, sewage, water facility, storm drain, grading, land use and utilities Thorough understanding of design and drafting methods, including proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Benefits of working as a Civil Engineer in Glendale, AZ:
