Ideal Civil Engineer / Civil Project Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (Civil)
- Five plus (5+) years of civil engineering consulting industry experience in civil land development.
- Civil Engineers with past project experience pertaining to municipal infrastructure (roads, streets, utilities) or water and wastewater design projects such as trunk sanitary sewers, lift stations, water/wastewater treatment plants are preferred.
- Well-developed conflict resolution skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication is necessary and independent judgment is essential.
- Good mentoring skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Positive and solution orientated approach to problems.
Civil Engineer / Civil Project Manager Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead technical engineering, quality assurance/control, and municipal engineering project activities focused on utilities and roadway design and/or water/wastewater design
- Complies with and helps implement company standards, policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Deliver projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitments
- Provide day-to-day guidance to project team staff as needed.
- Negotiate change orders to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors
- Work closely with relevant permitting agencies
- Develop technical reports, specifications, feasibility studies, and engineering designs
- Lead, coordinate, and build teamwork among other members in all necessary disciplines
- Establish objectives and provide performance feedback for project team members
