Job Overview:
As the Manager of Accounts Receivables, you will play a crucial role in our Revenue Cycle team. This position is key to managing and overseeing the cash posting and credit balance team, ensuring accurate financial transactions and optimizing our revenue processes. You will be instrumental in leading initiatives that enhance our financial practices and will have a direct impact on the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate posting of transactions, including insurance, patient payments, and adjustments.
Oversee the reconciliation processes for electronic funds transfers, checks, and credit card payments.
Develop and refine strategies for effective management of electronic remittance advice and insurance correspondence.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify trends or issues in payment collections, recommending solutions to improve revenue cycle efficiency.
Mentor and develop team members through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and training opportunities.
Manage resource allocation and budgets to optimize financial operations.
Ensure compliance with policies and standard operating procedures in payment posting and credit balance management.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance automation and efficiency of revenue cycle functions.
Handle special projects and perform additional duties as needed to support departmental goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, particularly in payment posting and credit balances.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
Strong understanding of managed care, payer structures, and government payers.
Advanced skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
