Highland Pellets is searching for top-notch candidates to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our production lines running efficiently and safely.
Roles and Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning duties throughout the chip mill facility. Remove debris and waste materials from production areas, equipment, and storage areas. Operate equipment to maintain standards. Assist with inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent education. Two years of heavy equipment experience. Must be able to complete written and field training for loader forklift skid steer and any other equipment that may be used. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job requirements. Ability to work extended hours. Ability to climb ladders stairs scaffolding and ramps. Ability to stoop kneel crouch reach stand walk push pull lift grasp shovel rake and any necessary requirements to keep the area clean and safe. Ability to work well in high places in excess of 80 feet use man lifts and work in confined spaces. Ability to work outdoors rotating shifts and lift 50 pounds required. Highland Pellets Benefit Package: Medical - Employee premiums are paid to a total of $500 per month. (this covers employees only and some children/spouses if that coverage is chosen). Dental - Employee-only premium paid. Vision - Employee-only premium paid. Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage paid. $100,000 of Employer Paid Life Insurance (65% at age 65, 50% at age 70) coverage paid, with an additional Voluntary Life option Employee paid up to 5x the annual salaried wage. 401K Employer match 100% up to 3% and 50% up to 5%.
