Role Overview
We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Chief Operating Officer to join our client's executive leadership team. This role involves directing the daily operations of the company, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and profitability throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a solid track record from the distribution sector, demonstrating a keen focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and executive team to craft and execute strategic initiatives that foster growth and strengthen our market position.
Operational Management: Manage all operational facets including warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Performance Optimization: Seek out opportunities to boost operational efficiencies, simplify processes, and minimize costs, all while upholding top-quality standards.
Team Development: Develop and lead a robust operations team, offering guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth to enhance team cohesion and retention.
Customer Focus: Promote a customer-first mindset throughout operations, ensuring our services consistently meet or surpass client expectations.
Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, and implement stringent risk management protocols to protect the company's assets and reputation.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the CFO to formulate and control budgets, project financial outcomes, and pinpoint avenues for increased revenue and cost reduction.
Vendor and Supplier Relations: Maintain robust relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure timely product deliveries and negotiate advantageous terms and pricing.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA highly preferred.
At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in the distribution industry.

Compensation and Benefits
Target base salary: $175,000 - $200,000, plus performance-based bonuses.
