As the Chief Communications Officer, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Consistently uphold and promote the organization's core values, serving as a role model for ethical behavior and cultural alignment. Ensure compliance with ethical standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements in all communication and development activities. Serve as a valued leadership team member, actively contributing to organizational health, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement. Promote positive workplace culture, teamwork, and collaborative decision-making among staff. Lead, manage, and hold the communications team accountable. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence, encouraging staff to contribute ideas, experiment with new approaches, and continuously learn and grow. Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed student enrollment goals and increase retention rates. Lead the development and execution of integrated communication and brand strategies. Develop, implement, and oversee an effective internal and external communications strategy, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across various platforms. Monitor and respond to public perception, proactively addressing any issues or challenges that may arise. Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding. Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, secure positive coverage, and manage crisis communications by responding effectively to mitigate potential risks. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Choice Schools and its academies. Lead new business growth opportunities, markets, and partnerships from inception to onboarding. Develop and implement strategies to engage with and influence government officials, policymakers, regulatory bodies, and advocacy groups at the local, authorizer, state, and federal levels. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders to enhance the company's brand and expand our impact. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven leadership experience (7+ years) in strategic communication, public relations, fundraising, and development roles, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector. Unyielding commitment to Choice Schools' mission of ensuring all children can read at or above grade level. Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
