Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer [JRP-04212] Chamberlain Hrdlicka is a diversified, tax-focused law firm with attorneys providing value at the highest level of client service. We are a mid-market, multi-service firm with a nationally leading tax practice. While we have grown over the past five decades to more than 150 attorneys with a wide variety of practice areas, personalized attention to our clients' needs remains a hallmark of our heritage.
We have built our reputation working with established and upcoming businesses as well as entrepreneurs and individuals with sophisticated legal needs. Today, our tradition of personalized service continues to be valued by clients from the smallest start-up ventures to the largest multinational companies.
Our business has grown annually, which has prompted us to add attorneys and support staff at all levels, and we expect that growth to continue in all cities in which the firm has offices. The firm's attorneys hail from multiple different states and foreign countries. Our attorneys are graduates of more than 30 different law schools. We are currently seeking to hire a Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer. In this role, you will supervise the Business Development and Marketing team. You will oversee the daily workflow of the department and provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. In addition, you will develop and execute clearly defined business development, marketing, public relations, and communication strategies in a manner that supports consistent business growth and builds brand equity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with the Business Development and Marketing team to strategize, research and create business development plans and training programs for attorneysIdentify cross-selling opportunities within existing practice group clients and other Firm clients and referral sourcesCoordinate with the Business Development and Marketing Committee to determine Firm donations, sponsorships, Meritas network participation and other opportunitiesWork with team members and attorneys to expand client and referral relationshipsOversee strategic communications with outside PR Consultants on publicity, awards, and other promotional tacticsLead the team updating and overseeing the Firm's websiteAssist attorneys with responses to requests for proposals from potential and existing clientsWork to increase brand awareness with the Firm website, social media presence, community events, publications, etc.Maintain a strong knowledge of, and presence and leadership in practice/industry groups, including awareness of business trends and competitive landscape for legal servicesPrepare and distribute a monthly business development and marketing newsletterCollaborate with Practice Group Leaders to develop growth plans for the FirmPlan Business Development and Marketing Committee meetings and implement decisionsParticipate as a member of the Staff Managers TeamOccasionally, travel to other officesPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree is preferred)Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in business development or marketing in a law firm or professional services firmExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThorough understanding of marketing strategies and practicesExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsProficient in newsletter software (familiarity with Vuture is preferred)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite
