Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will report directly to the VP of R&D working with other scientists to make a lasting, positive impact on our ecosystem for the health and well-being of people and animals.

Support insecticide, herbicide, repellency, and other non-agricultural development projectsPrepare and improve formulations used in efficacy screening based on test resultsCollect and summarize data and deliver results as oral or written reports as requiredAssist in the maintenance, method development, and rearing of select insect speciesPerform other duties as assigned by HR and Plant personnel when needed Skills & Qualifications1+ year of laboratory experience including chromatography (GC, GC-MS)Basic laboratory skills including the ability to accurately weigh, measure, and follow mixing instructionsBasic understanding of different statistical methods to analyze dataHigh affinity for biological and chemical sciencesAbility and motivation to learn new techniquesWillingness and ability to work with a wide variety of insects and plantsSelf-motivated to take projects through to successful productsFamiliarity with the metric system and dilutions is requiredFamiliarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is requiredExcellent organizational and record-keeping skills; High attention to detailMust have exceptional verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check Education RequirementsB.S. / Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field (with laboratory experience) AMVAC Offers Health insurance including Medical, Dental, Vision, (PPO) with low out-of-pocket employee costsLife InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA) & AFLAC offeredEmployee Stock Purchasing Plan (ESPP) and 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer matchAdditional benefits include Vacation, Sick, Holiday time off as well as an Employee Wellness Program
