Chemical Process Engineer - Greeneville, TN We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Greeneville, TN. As a key member of the Coinage Department, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering and technical support of our manufacturing operations. This challenging and rewarding position requires a strategic thinker who can oversee operations, troubleshoot process problems, and lead cost improvement initiatives. What you will need: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in electroplating. Certification as a Certified Electroplater Finisher (CEF) is highly desirable. Proficient in cost accounting concepts. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead by example, collaborate within a team, and positively influence others. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is preferred. What you will do: Oversee and optimize all processes within the department, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met. Lead and direct cost improvement initiatives to enhance departmental objectives, with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing process capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance product positioning and margin improvement. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection forms, while contributing to operator training materials. Work closely with EH&S Department to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant operation. Coordinate Maintenance Department activities in assigned areas and collaborate with key leaders to address root causes and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure products meet or exceed specifications, and address customer quality complaints effectively. Partner with the Development Department to roll out and scale up new processes.
